Is it gtk2 version or qt5 version?

Do you have repro on Double Commander (use the same widgets, gtk2 or qt5)?

version CudaText 1.202.0.1, linux-x86_64-qt5, fpc 3.2.2. double commander not using

I'm using Wayland as a window manager. When switching to x11 the bug does not appear

Ok, use Wayland, but install the Double Commander which is lazarus app too. https://sourceforge.net/p/doublecmd/wiki/Download/ do you see repro in DCmd too?

fpc 3.2.2

My build has 'fpc 3.2.3'. And my Lazarus is more new, it must have the fix for this issue (fixed 2 weeks ago in lazarus). try to reinstall MY build from homepage.
