@tbeu Can u write here-- help topic,how to make connection via PrivateFile? What options to use, where to get file, how to generate it.

I almost know it- but not sure what options to check,and dunno where to get PrivateFile. I saw one sample. Don';t know about this file at all

Actually the site admin provides the private key file. @dietmarw: Can you please briefly comment how the private key file for modelica.org SFTP account was generated?

Nothing special I've simply used ssh-keygen -t rsa and puttygen for conversion to ppk format which WinSCP only takes.

anon.ppk does not work, only anon can be used (with SynFTP or SFTP plugin of Total Commander).

Well if you don't use WinSCP then you don't need the ppk. I only provide it because WinSPC (apparently) can not handle standard openssh formatted keys.

For Alex: The private key file is a standard OpenSSH key.

we have also "Passphrase" Edit. Do u know: when it's needed?? it's for Priv File?

This is the passphrase to decrypt the private key file (if encrypted). See privatekey_from_file.
