Gateway Buzzer issues on modified motion sensor #1487

Hello

I have applied workaround solution: https://github.com/AlexxIT/XiaomiGateway3/issues/919

Most likely recent HA updated woke up gateway beeping. Beeping is not all the time I'm crossing motion sensor, but let say each 30-60min?

Anybody else facing this problem?

AlexxIT commented 2 weeks ago

HA updates not related to this fix. Are you sure fix (file) in the place?

dchrapek commented 2 weeks ago

I did both Gateway integration to v4.0.6 and HA core update. Gateway soft keeping old: 1.5.0_0102 Openmiio_agent.lua loaded to /data/ on Gateway. Later I can add screenshots from telnet

I had this issue, but was quiet for long time...
I was surprised to hear this nasty beeper again in the evening :(

Maybe it's some other event. Not from hacked motion sensor.

dchrapek commented 2 weeks ago

Beep sounds when I'm crossing this particular motion sensor. Have no other idea what other even can trigger beeper.

I'm not using alarm on this gateway maybe workaround is to permanently switch off buzzer?

AlexxIT commented 2 weeks ago

I think it's possible to extend buzzer lua script. But you needs to know what exact event produce this sound. It can probably be found in the gateway logs. I have no information left on how the past event was obtained.

Many thanks Alex for quick replies and your involvement.

I'll have a look in the evening. Logs had activated, but never looked on them. For this moment I have only few minutes at home. Deactivated motion sensor hack as anyway I was not using it. Problem seems to disappear, but would be interesting to find root cause of this strange behavior 😀
