@AlfioEmanueleFresta, I'm planning to take a stab at this in my repo https://github.com/iinuwa/linux-webauthn-platform-api. It's not organized yet, but I'll keep you posted.

(I'm also working on a D-Bus proposal once I've worked out the required interactions.)

I wrote down some of my thoughts on this here, including some open challenges that have been holding me back on the portal API.
