So the Nether Portal update allows for certain objects to load between the Nether and Overworld instantly. When flying on my EvilCraft broom, it does go through instantly, which makes me think that it possibly might be a remodel of one of the items that goes through instantly. I know that Ender Pearls and Minecarts for sure go through instantly, but I have had instances where I will pick up Mobs while on the broom, but they sit in front of me, possibly like a boat. When you go through the Nether Portal while on your broom, which "leaves" your inventory when you are on it, it re-enters your inventory as if you hit left shift to dismount but you are still flying. Hovering over the Item in your inventory while you are flying shows that the blood level in the broom is not depleting but you are still flying. The GUI which shows the broom, in the bottom right corner usually, is not visible, like when you are not flying. Pressing left shift to dismount deposits a broom into your inventory with no charge.
