Minecraft Turtles dont spawn? #258

Was searching for turtles and could find any looked on beaches for an hour and couldn't find any, installed In Control and there was no turtles spawning at all

I confirm that vanilla turtles do not spawn. I searched for hours on beach biomes up to 10k blocks away and even chunk loaded a beach in hopes they would spawn.

Having this issue in 1.20, world created in 1.19. Created a copy of the world, enabled cheats and no entity was from for entity.minecraft.turtle
