Does the sound issue happen after being afk for a bit?
I don't know about the sound, but I had the same issue with the GUI scale resetting on launch. I fixed that by making the startup resolution/window size bigger in my launcher - I think it happens because the scale of 3 won't fit in the smaller window, so it resets to the largest value it can (which is 2).

i dont know but yesterday i've seen that in the console thee was tons of message talking about sound
"[26Nov2022 00:00:51.761] [Sound engine/ERROR] [com.mojang.blaze3d.audio.OpenAlUtil/]: Allocate new source: Unable to allocate memory. [26Nov2022 00:00:51.861] [Sound engine/ERROR] [com.mojang.blaze3d.audio.OpenAlUtil/]: Allocate new source: Unable to allocate memory. I'm having the same issues with the sounds, I'm playing with shaders off and 10GB of RAM allocated to the game and the F3 thing shows I'm using between 7 and 9GB at any time.
I'm experiencing this sound issue as well, although no problems with the GUI scale settings for me. Randomly, sometimes after playing a long time, sometimes a short time I will lose sound and get the same message as above. My memory usage is hovering around 60-70% when it happens.
I'm still having this issue on 1.0.8
I am also having this issue, and it seems like whatever error is happening with the sound engine, it is the only error I'm getting, and it's causing major LAG. The more things I add that make sound, (in this case Mekanism machines), the worse the lag gets, and again, the only error I see is:
Can't keep up! Is the server overloaded?
After every few:
`[15:22:57] [Sound engine/ERROR]: Stop: Invalid parameter parameter value.
[15:22:58] [Sound engine/ERROR]: Unqueue buffers: Invalid parameter parameter value.
[15:22:59] [Sound engine/ERROR]: Unqueue buffers: Invalid parameter parameter value.
[15:22:59] [Sound engine/ERROR]: Allocate new source: Invalid parameter parameter value.`
Whatever the case may be, it is spamming the logs.
So I've had a hell of a time with random crashes and sound stopping. I turned off my particles to stop the crashes (haven't crashed since, was 10 times a day) since then I haven't had a sound issue.
I don't see how they would be related at all but before I turned my particles off it seemed that if I were to afk in my base for 5 mins, my sound driver would crash, since the. I haven't had an issue. Pretty sure it's all related to the mod Rubidium.
