Story As a scientist, I want to execute segmentation workflows on customized workflows so that I can process data according to my individual needs

I can load and run a workflow directly from a compatible JSON workflow configuration file
If my workflow configuration file is not compatible with the expected format, I can see a meaningful error

Details

Currently the workflow engine only exposes built in default workflows. Expand functionality to load and run a workflow from a JSON configuration file directly.
Add validation as needed for the JSON config when loading in order to provide somewhat meaningful error messaging for the user
