Rephrase text to elimate the word "giving" #1

From an email sent to contact@everysinglemonth.org

I'm an active Yang Gang volunteer involved with multiple initiatives, and I have a suggestion that originated through a recent conversation in the Basecamp group: in order to appeal to conservatives who might view the term "giving" as too closely aligned with "undeserved welfare", how about changing the wording to the following:

"Andrew Yang wants to invest $N into Town every single month through a monthly $1,000 Freedom Dividend for every adult US citizen."

This would eliminate the term "giving" and be more palatable or intriguing to more people of other ideologies. It would be great if you could consider this change, thank you!

Considerations: making sure the phrasing of the language is still condusive to an asthetically pleasing typography, that key words appear at the right place in the text, and that there isn't too much text.

From a Twitter DM to me

A slight change in wording to make the message more palatable to some more conservative audiences, the example given was

"By investing $1000 in every adult, Andrew Yang would bring $XX.X Million into [Town] Every. Single. Month."

Here is a revised mockup:

Pros:

Cons:

My gut is that this takes slightly more mental effort to process. If this were my first exposure to UBI, I don't know that I'd equate "investing $1000 in every adult" == "every adult recieves cash, no strings attached".

I'll also point out that in one of his most liked tweets, Chief himself said

I’m literally trying to give everybody money.

And that at this moment in time, the campaign has indicated that it is far more important for us to presuade liberals and progressives than conservatives. Maybe this is a change that we postpone until the general?

FWIW, I've been getting a lot of feedback from folks who highly prefer the updated mockup. So this is likely to happen now when I get the chance.
