The VBO and VBN datasets are meant to be complimentary, and as such should have overlap in schema, tables, documentation, column names etc. whenever possible. Increased collaboration & communication between the VBO & VBN teams would help this, and provide transparency & empowerment to the technology & specifically team Pika moving forward to know the full scope of the work (i.e. whether they can make changes to both VBO & VBN or just one of those).
First thing to do in this process is to compare the current state of SDKs and tables provided for both projects and determine what should be the same and what is okay to be different.
Clark will provide the following:
List of all cache & summary tables & what is in common.
columns & data types for both datasets to compare what these tables look like
List of all dataset attributes & what is in common
for tables in common a more detailed list of all columns for each dataset to determine how much overlap there is
Then follow up discussion should be had between @matchings and @corbennett that will provide further guidance and guidelines to the technology & pika teams
