"BN LAMP5" is "CGE GABA" or "MGE GABA"? #30

Hi @UCDNJJ ,

According to my knowledge, LAMP5 (Lysosomal-associated membrane protein 5) is primarily expressed in CGE-derived inhibitory neurons, not MGE-derived neurons. However, in the released cell taxonomy, "BN LAMP5 CXCL14 GABA" was classified into "CN MGE GABA." I am not sure whether my understanding is correct.

Hi Wubin, we resolved this over email prior to SfN. A recap: it should be CGE and will be corrected in the next released version as mentioned. You should feel free to update the MGE to CGE for all higher level annotations of this type.
