It seems like the PR was made in a hurry. The merge was unnecessary but I understand the need to do so since you were having trouble with currfile package. In the coming week, I will conduct a thorough test run on Windows and Linux to ensure such issues don't arise. But it is important to note that when working with latex the arrangement of the packages matters. It gave me a hassle at first so I imagine it contributed to the problem you were having with currfile package. Any error compounds and triggers the currfile package error
