Error of failed request: BadWindow #183

After i did "./linux-wallpaperengine 3011088648" i got this error :

X Error of failed request: BadWindow (invalid Window parameter) Major opcode of failed request: 15 (X_QueryTree) Resource id in failed request: 0x1bd29680 Serial number of failed request: 23 Current serial number in output stream: 23 Speicherzugriffsfehler (Speicherabzug geschrieben)

I did everything as described.

I got the quite the same error like you:

X Error of failed request:  BadWindow (invalid Window parameter)
  Major opcode of failed request:  15 (X_QueryTree)
  Resource id in failed request:  0xb26be290
  Serial number of failed request:  15
  Current serial number in output stream:  15

I think this is from steam proton

I'm having trouble reproducing this error, I get a gray screen with errors unrelated to X11. 3011088648.log

@hakuno2000 and @ker0x007 : could both of you provide your distro, your window manager or desktop environment, and if you built from source (instead of via a package manager), version numbers for the dependencies? If you didn't build from source, please please provide the package manager you installed this app from.

Dependencies for reference: OpenGL 2.1 support, CMake, LZ4, ZLIB, SDL, FFmpeg, X11 (with libxxf86vm), Xrandr, GLFW3, GLM, GLEW, GLUT, FreeImage, MPV, PulseAudio. On Ubuntu and Ubuntu-based distros, these requirements are available in the following packages: build-essential cmake libxrandr-dev libfreeimage-dev libxinerama-dev libxcursor-dev libxi-dev libgl-dev libglew-dev freeglut3-dev libsdl2-dev liblz4-dev libavcodec-dev libavformat-dev libavutil-dev libswscale-dev libxxf86vm-dev libglm-dev libglfw3-dev libmpv-dev mpv libmpv1 libpulse-dev libpulse0

I built from source, main branch on Ubuntu 22.04 LTS at the date of my first comment

Same issue here, on linux mint 21.2 cinnamon based on ubuntu 22.04. I tried running it on cinnamon, xfce, and openbox all with the same error. I think the issue is specific to this ubuntu version.

On debian 12 xfce it works fine.

Same Problem on Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon.
