i started messing with this on a Rpi as a experiment, i have my pi running as a headless server, so i thought why not run it on my linux desktop. while is runs just fine there is no reason for it to run at 2500+ fps and make the fans audible on my near silent system

i realize it respects the GPU driver's sync to vblank option, but i have that off mainly as Xonotic feels better at 120fps instead of 60

good to know, figured it was overlooked with primary development being target at a device with passive cooling not hearing a fan spin-up as a reminder

Why was this request closed if it had not been added yet? I mean, it was marked as an "important enhancement".

Because it's a duplicate of #242. post date is secondary. Issues are linked when mentioned so no information gets lost.
