Hmm, I can't seem to reproduce this (with a list of 15 games, with images and descriptions).
Aloshi,
Thanks for the quick response, and good work...
I am using the arm192 as my start.elf
At first I thought it might be a problem with a particular image file, but that theory didn't hold up as when I restarted emulationstation it failed at a different rom.
I will keep testing it, and see if I can find a pattern.
Thanks for you help
FYI, I resized all of the images 200x300, as I thought that might be the problem...
After building myself a list of about 80 NES games and scraping descriptions and images for them, I still can't seem to reproduce this.
Are you using the latest source? I changed how scrolling works a bit yesterday. You can update by running git pull
, then make
.
How are you scrolling? Holding down the button, or pressing it many times?
Hmm, I can't seem to reproduce it either.
Just in case, could you post the XML file somewhere?
Recently, decided to copy my whole rom collection on the Pi, let the scraper run and see if everything is working. The blank screen also appears for me after some scrolling/sliding (in this case for the SNES system). I am using the 192/64 split, my images have a width of 275px. You can download the game list.xml at https://www.dropbox.com/s/has6oux5bk20nov/gamelist.xml. However, as with john, on a second run I am not able to reproduce this. I will keep an eye on that - maybe a pattern can be observed in a more daily use.
Same here, with a big list ( currently got about 25000 roms on the Pi, ) Only a blank scroll as soon as i try to run it. Second boot ( after segmentation ault when i press F1 ) it loads correclty
At startup the first few roms display their images, and desc nicely from the gamelist.xml. After scrolling through a long list of games, then all the games no longer display any info, even the ones that worked in the beginning
