This pull request contains ongoing development since the last official update in August 2017 to maintain compatibility with the latest versions, update for new SMAPI features, and make minor improvements. Once this is merged, I can provide a compiled package to release if you'd like.
Split the Luck Skill adapter into its own mod and merged the Cooking Skill adapter into the solution. This avoids dependency issues (e.g. Skill Prestige could no longer be used without Luck Skill installed in recent versions of SMAPI), makes it easier to maintain the adapters, and provides simpler examples for implementing custom skills.
Rewrote input handling using SMAPI 3.0 features.
Simplified mod loading (all skill mods now use ModHandler.RegisterMod instead of type scanning).
Simplified adapter mod names.
Simplified the build configuration and updated the mod build package.
Fixed hardcoded assembly references.
Fixed compile error in debug mode.
Fixed unneeded .config file in release.
Internal refactoring.
Testing
The unofficial updates for Skill Prestige have some 2200 downloads (not counting adapter downloads), so the changes should be pretty stable. See download counts for the most recent releases: unofficial.4, unofficial.3, unofficial.2, unofficial.1.
@Alphablackwolf Thanks for merging it! Will you be releasing the update to Nexus soon? (Or if you want, you can add me to the mod team on Nexus and I'll deploy updates directly.)
