only works in IE #224

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. The current source, using the most current version of all files.
2. The page loads fine(however the styles aren't yet fixed) in IE.
3. In FireFox, Safari, and Chrome it will not load, it previously worked in 
FireFox, but for some reason it no longer does.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

ScrollBar for the "news_area" div, no scrollbar, it just overflows

What version of the jScrollPane are you using? On what browser? And operating 
system?

Windows 7, Chrome, Safari, Mozilla FireFox, newest from the jScrollPane homepage

Please provide a URL to a page displaying the problem.

Please provide any additional information below.
I've had it display and not display in Chrome and Safari, but it has never 
worked properly.  Worked properly in Mozilla but I had to make changes to my 
site.

Your document is invalid. It doesn't have a DOCTYPE or an opening HTML tag.

If that doesn't fix it them please try the beta of jScrollPane 2:
