Grafana for skd prod have double folders for managed dashboards #932

Description of the bug

When you go to dashboard it have double folders for "Azure Managed Prometheus" and "Microsoft Defender for Cloud". The managed dashboards is spread over the 2 folders, we dont have double of dashboards.

  1. Open grafana
  2. Look at the folder structure

Hello,

Thank you for following up on this issue. I followed your step by step guide. After I deleted the Azure Monitor Workspace association, the folders was still there but dashboards was gone. I just deleted all the dashboards. Then I run my terraform to recreate the association. Now everything works as expected.

You can follow the steps below:

  1. From the Azure Portal, navigate to your Azure Managed Grafana resource
  2. Navigate to the menu “Azure Monitor Workspace” under the “Integrations” section
  3. Delete the Azure Monitor Workspace association to this Azure Managed Grafana Image
  4. Open your Azure Managed Grafana instance.
  5. Confirm that all the folders and managed dashboards were deleted
  6. If there is any unexpected folder still present, please manually delete it.
  7. Associate the Azure Monitor Workspace again with your Azure Managed Grafana instance. You can follow similar steps as above, but using the “Add” button instead
  8. Confirm that you see the folders as expected in your Azure Managed Grafana instance
