This reverts everything back to the state it was in at 0.002, before upstream DeploymentHandler broke backward compatibility. That has been fixed in DeploymentHandler v.002231, so this code can go back to the way it was.

This should fix #2 and #3. Sorry about the breaking changes there. :(

4 years later and I'm just discovering this PR. My apologies; I'm also just discovering I don't get notifications about new PRs, so I never looked.

I noticed because someone else also fixed this, but told me by another means, so I actually knew about that.

Thanks for the contribution, anyway; if I'd known about this, we could have avoided quite a lot of headache!
