Hi.
The scale is the scale of your map you'll he traversing. So how big is the grid. That allows you to move the set distance.
@AlucairDM ok so that would be like the total distance of a voyage if we're thinking solely in theater of mind?
So to word it out a bit better -
You set the scale in ship setup - that scale is the width of your hex or grid on your world map.
Once that scale is set to match what you have the scene set to - you'll have a readout in the chat saying how many hexs you traveled.
so to add -
If I set my scale to 100 - and then have a good travel - based on time dropdown - it'll say how many hexes to travel.
If you do it based on distance traveled - you'll get the time it takes to travel there (but you can measure it with a set scale setup for your map) as an example Otari and Absalom is about 100 miles.
I was just using the ocean travel setup. I noticed that the "Scale" field for the boat asked for miles in parenthesis. I'm confused how this attribute is used. Is this referring to the length of the ship? If so, could this be in feet?
