Please contact me.  I have a few features I want to add.  I've been 
working on my own tool, based on another tool which I've concluded is not 
going to work for me.  I like the simplicity of yours.  One thing I did 
get working was the ability for connectors to snake around elements 
including the source elements themselves.  This took alot of thought, 
design, and work, but its a pretty good paradigm.  Other things include 
shape templates, connector move handles, scroll wheel zoom, shape 
duplication via control-drag, etc.

By the way, I upgraded to VS 2008 and it works fine.
