I use toolbox 3.1.1 and blender 2.9.1. and blender 2.83

If I save the p3d file it works. But I couldnt import it to blender as p3d. Additional my changes are not in the new p3d file, if I could load it. The object builder couldnt load any file.

This is too vague. What error message to you get? (Tryp Windows -> Toggle System Console). What are the steps to reproduce this?

Terrabe commented 3 years ago

Hello AlwarrenSidh

enclosed the step with blender:

  1. Start blender and see the cube.
  2. Export the cube without any change as p3d.
  3. Start a new part and erase the cube.
  4. Import the cube as p3d an receive this error message. Errormessage

The other problem is:

  1. Import an existing old p3d to blender
  2. Make my changes of the file.
  3. Export the changed p3d-file.
  4. Import the changed p3d file an see, that the change was not saved in the p3d-file.

As you might guess, this works perfectly fine for me. I have no idea what this might be, maybe you have an installation problem. Can you upload an example p3d that doesn't import for you?

Hello AlwarrenSidh I added the file.

Terrabe commented 3 years ago

Hello AlwarrenSidh did you receive the sample?

Terrabe commented 3 years ago

Hello AlwarrenSidh I checked different versions of blender. The last working version is with no error message is blender 2.78c with Arma toolbox 2.7 update. Since blender 2.8 with the according arma toolbox the p3d have problems. For the tests I used every time the same model. If you are interested we can write German.

The file you sent is zero size. Please describe how you got there.

Terrabe commented 3 years ago

Hello AlwarrenSidh,

it was my mistake. I didn't add an LOD to the cube. So Armatools didn't know what to do. Sorry.
