What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Try and serialize System.Type

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

I would like for it to work. But I guess this is by design.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?

2.0.0.450

If serialization of System.Type would work out of the box would be very useful 
since right now I have to define proxies/surrogates to work around this.

k; we do already have some handling of Type for the DynamicType option, so I 
suspect this can be tweaked to use that path there without any huge issue
