might be relatively easy due to all the work put into getting default objects to add themselves to scripts automatically. Variables will basically also be default value nodes (might need to change the name to something else) that are invisible and get auto linked to set/get nodes
Just like scene variables but only local to a specific board. Board variables can be placed onto scene boards, in which case they all end up in the same scene script anyway, but it is useful for organization
