Well then, I'm a complete doofus. :D I figured it out. I had too heavy artwork. I batch resized everything from 1694x1400 down to 800x661 and went from ~3MB to ~500kB per image and now Mednaffe loads lightning fast again.
Tallyho! I'm sorry if this is supposed to be focused on pure data and hard information, I'm new to this. Suddenly the program is very slow to start (with a freeze "Svarar inte" means "Not responding") and I have no idea why. The task manager initially reports the following values on every start of Mednaffe:
...then the RAM usage continues to ramp up with a couple of MB's per second to around 70 MB where Mednaffe will finally show up on screen and CPU falls down to 0% and RAM down to about 35 MB and everything works fine from there.
I'm on Windows 11 21H2, OS-ver 22000.652 and I'm using Mednaffe 0.9.2. I'm using a Ryzen 5 3600 and a RX 6700 XT.
