followed by an "Error: No mednafen configuration file found." error popup. The directory containing mednafen and mednaffe is on the desktop. The C:\Users\Myuser.mednafenmednafen.cfg configuration file exists; if I delete .mednafen, it will be created automatically on the next run, but the error persists. The same problem occurs with Mednafen 1.21.3.

If I delete .mednafen and run the 32-bit version Mednafen 1.21.1+mednaffe0.8.8 it shows a different message instead and won't recreate the directory automatically:

were you able to find a solution, cause im having the exact same problem

I'm having the same problem too.

Test with 0.9.0 version. Reopen if it is not fixed.
