We are using a proxy for matomo to prevent us from CORS which doesn't have php endpoint. This would be very helpful :-)

Good solution. It's maybe unfortunate that the initial implementation forces a .php extension but this is a good override

@AmazingDreams thanks for merging this. I wanted to test the changes, but it seems like new version was published without included changes in the dist folder. Am I wrong?
