Creating Wintun adapter failed (eduVPN 3.0) #194

Hi,

I am facing an issue with the new eduVPN 3.0 client. I enabled the "start on sign-on" option connected to server and did a reboot. This worked fine with Version 2 of the client but with the new Version 3.0 I get an error after the reboot: "Creating Wintun adapter failed" Screenshot 2022-06-01 080842

To fix this I have to reboot the machine once again, in some cases I have to reinstall the Client. If I close VPN Connection before reboot or if I diasble "start on sign-on" there is no problem. Thanks

Seeing the same issue here with eduVPN v3.0. Workaround issue by uninstall, reboot, reinstall whenever it happens. OS: Windows 10 Pro Version: 21H2 OS build: 19044.1706

I am able to reproduce this issue: image

Confirming this is indeed a bug and working on a fix...

I fixed the status=0x800700b7 issue in 3.0.1. Your feedback appreciated.

However, I am afraid that status=0x2 is a different issue. I wasn't able to reproduce it. Likely it is another form of the status=0x800700b7 issue, but would prefer if @tichachm could confirm 3.0.1 fixes it too.

Hi, thanks for the fast fix, I am testing the new Version. At the moment I haven't seen the error message since updating my client. It seems to be fixed, thanks.
