The site right now isn't too far up from raw HTML; some actual web design (thinking about images, animations, colors, and just general prettiness) would go a long way.
Design is my worst skill in my opinion, the hardest part being deciding what's pretty/good (I can replicate a design pretty well, it's just coming up with the design that I find difficult) so someone with actual web design experience may be necessary for this.
