A downstream issue made me notice that has-qed-box can appear on inline math mode.
A quick search through publications shows that this is fairly rare (20 cases over 9 journal articles right now).
In all but one case the tex-math element is empty (from $\qed$).

Is this desired behavior?
It's not hard to adjust downstream but my gut feeling is that inline elements should not have a qed box attribute.
