Pirls 2021: Student achievement on bridge sample #60

Open njaalf opened 10 months ago

njaalf commented 10 months ago

Pirls in 2021 comes with two student achievement files, one regular file and for for the "bridge" sample. For instance, Norway has ASANORR5.sav and ASANORA5.sav

The former is opened by readPIRLS(), while the latter, with 1673 students, is ignored.

I would like to to have an option in readPIRLS() to indice if the R5 (default) or the A5 should be opened.

Hi @njaalf Apologies for the delayed response. We are working on getting our funder NCES’s approval and fund to add the feature. However, we would welcome your contribution to the code if you're interested. Additionally, if you have any insights or connections that could help us explore alternative funding sources, we would appreciate your input."
