work for Reconfigure relevant parts of Vue app to query and link to Wordpress instead of Laravel#568.

Currently includes creating a new WP API client, removing unused "news" sections of code, and pointing the news requests at the new WP API.

@tallowen probably doesn't make sense for you to spend much time reviewing this but if you want to take a quick look you're welcome! otherwise I will just merge it into the new wordpress branch I've created
