hide map banner on map tab and fix small router bug #78

Hey @drewalth this does two things (should probably have split the commits, sorry):

transitions map banner to hidden on map tab
fixes console error about duplicate navigation happening
fixes issue where the tab menu (on the left) did not initialize with the correct tab dictated by the route on page load

@ngottlieb looks good! I think we can add some easing to the hiding of the page banner on map tab. I'm going to merge in and make a note to tweak the transition. Thanks!
