Is it possible to improve tesseract that way that it will show list of 
installed languages (e.g. tesseract --list)?

Solution I saw are based on estimation of installation directory of tessdata 
(e.g. /usr/share/tesseract-ocr/tessdata/)
But on linux you can install tesseract to more places than /usr/ (e.g. 
/usr/local, /opt )
