System wide proxy setting ignored #109

In an app developed for a client, we have the following problem: The system 
wide proxy configuration is totally ignored. The location in which the client 
is using the app is not well covered by 3G/4G, so the wifi connection is very 
important. The proxy is a must because of the network structure of the client. 

1) set the proxy in the settings menu
2) run browser to test working connection (it works)
3) run app using aquery and it fails to load anything

We are using 0.24.3

So does it load anything when there is no proxy and with good connection?

If system proxy doesn't work on apps it will be a major bug from Google, so I 
doubt it's the cause of your issue unless there's more proof. 

Since there's no way to get the system settings, and if this indeed doesn't 
work, then there's not much we can do to workaround this.
