How to get access using another email (different from the institutional email) to Google BigQuery #65

Dear all, I got access to the Amsterdam UMCDB via my institutional email and as far as my institutional email is not connected to Google services by any means. I was wondering how would it be possible to connect my personal gmail to the database which is hosted on google cloud.

It's in the AmsterdamUMCdb BigQuery FAQ. Or go directly to the Google Account page here to add your 'new' e-mail address to an existing valid account.

Thanks a lot for your kind response.

Unfortunately, although I have already added my institutional email as an alternate like suggested by FAQ page, still it's not working.

Is there any other option?

I have faced the same issue ( already added my institutional email as an alternate and still not working ) and could not figure out how to solve it.

@mostafaalishahi Just now I received a reply by email. BigQuery access is only available for some datathones. All regular access is through download only.

I have already received the download link and also downloaded it successfully. My only issue is how to handle the big files, like numerticitems.csv. It is about 80 GB! Regular pandas read_csv can not work.

Do you have the same issue?

I have faced the same problem (already added my institutional email as an alternate and still not working ) and could not figure out how to solve it. I have been puzzled by Google BigQuery all day, while using local data to deploy on the local device may be a better choice for me, I would like to ask you how you got the download link for the latest version AmsterdamUMCdb-v1.5.0. Any further reply would be greatly appreciated! @ammsenosy @patrickthoral
