replace file function removed #12

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. use v1.2, replace file menu option present and does something
2. use v2.0alpha, replace file menu option absent

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Even if it doesn't get any better, why take it out of the releases? I know
that 2.0alpha is alpha... but imo an alpha should have all the
functionality coded that semi-works, so we can test it. I have successfully
done taskes with replace file (and close archive) with 1.2. I hope that the
features allowing us to modify or create .myp aren't removed in future
releases.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
WinXP sp3

Please provide any additional information below.
Thank you once again for an absolutely invaluable application.

It is weird that replacing worked. (it was working for un compressed files but
due to
some compression libraries issues it was not working for compressed ones
(though this
can be solved easily).
However last time I checked, Mythic was checking for the integrity of the MYP
archives, thus I removed the ability to replace a file since it was useless.

As far as creating MYP... I know there is the option in the archive menu, but I
do
not know if I will ever code it.

If you are sure that one can modify files and still run the game I can always
put
back the option.

Check your email. The answer is YES, it is immensely useful to a subset of
users.
