User registration is broken #262

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Navigate to the registration page (http://dotnetkicks.com/register)
2. Enter a username and email address and click create account

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The site informs the user that they will receive an email to confirm the 
registration.  No email is 
ever received.

I have done this twice with 2 different email addresses.
