Closing room tab doesn't refresh lobby tab, rejoining shows lobby

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Join a room
2. Close the tab for the room
3. Wait a few seconds for the lobby tab to refresh
4. Click link to reenter the same chat

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
> Expected: For the first part, when I close the tab for a room and the
Lobby tab is focuses, I would expect the act of closing that tab to trigger
a refresh of the lobby so I don't have to wait to rejoin the chat.
> Instead: When the lobby tab is focused, I have to wait about five seconds
for the page to refresh and allow me to reenter the room.
> Expected: For the second part, when I enter a room, I expect to stay in
that room.
> Instead: When I enter the room, initially I'm there, but 1 to 2 seconds
later, that tab, though it stays open, loads the lobby. I can open the room
from there, and I'm pretty sure I stay in there from that point, but it
gets really annoying after a while.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
> v1.0 on Windows 7 32bit
