GSS.msi: Validation for the 12 hive folder should be added on 'Select installation folder panel' or this field should be non-editable.

Steps:

1.Start GSS.msi installer.
2. 'Select installation folder panel' opens up.
Here as it can be seen, text-box to specify the folder path is editable or 
user can browse any folder path where he/she needs to install the files. 
But if I 
mention any valid path, say “C:\Myfolder” and try to “Verify 
Installation” 
then I get following error:
"Error: Unable to connect to site discovery Web Service".

Here, it is nowhere mentioned that the connection was failed due the 
incorrect path selection on the previous panel.
Thus either of the two should be done:
a. Text-box or Browse button should be made non editable or remove the 
message “To Install a different folder, enter it below or click Browse”. 
This 
message is misleading.
b. If “Verify Installation” fails due to incorrect path then, a proper 
error message should be displayed mentioning the reason of failure.

Please use labels and text to provide additional information.

In new installer the text field is made non-editable. User can select folder 
through 
browse button for each of the components he wants to install
