Found out it does not hang, but rather you can't see a prompt for the new list
name, or a prompt to rename the list. Deleting a list does prompt but the
window is under the current task list and it's not possible to get to. If you
type a name after click new list then a new list is created, same with
renaming. I think and prompts need to be brought to the foreground to make this
obvious.

Strange, on my Fedora 18 x86_64 with Gnome 3 in fallback mode, Chrome dev
channel does not crash, and displays list of tasks fine.

Linux Mint 14, Cinnamon, same problem. It doesn't always happen, but enough
where it's noticeable; when I try to create a new list, the cursor still works,
but the system appears frozen; I have to do a hard reboot to fix it.

(Sorry, pushed Save Changes too soon) - If I type something and hit enter, it
adds the list, so I agree with the above that it's just not showing in the
foreground. However, after I add the list, when I try to add new items, it
sends the keystrokes to the browser window. I have to close and re-open the
tasks window to add new items.

I also experience the issue when renaming a list.
