Hi Ben,
You couldn't set it up wrong, as there's no set-up.
Is it possible that it is blocked by your firewall or something?
Does gmail checking work properly?
I suspect that somehow your credentials (for reader) are somehow not getting
through to google...
Maybe I could prepare a version of the app that will show you the whole error
message?
Kind regards,
Tom

Thanks for your response Tom. Gmail checking is working correctly. I am able
to log in to reader with the same address. Could the firewall affect the
reader check and not the email check? Otherwise, a version with modified error
output (perhaps to a file) would be very appreciated.
Thanks,
Ben

"Could the firewall affect the reader check and not the email check?"
Theoretically no, as the same function is used to send the requests, but it is
using different type of authentication (for reader the "easy way" is not
available).
I'll prepare the version with the debugger this afternoon and post a link here.

Please replace GWatch.exe with this version:
http://gwatchman.googlecode.com/files/GWatchman%20v.1.0.5.1%20beta%20-%20debug.z
ip
It will create file: GWatch.log in the same directory.
Run program once and post the content of the log file here.
Thanks!

Ah, I have the full error, and I know what is causing the problem:
"Reader Token error: The remote server returned an error: (407) Proxy
Authentication Required."
I was able to connect just fine with GWatchMan on my home PC, but this is on my
work PC, where we use a proxy. I know that the only place I set the proxy
settings are in the IE settings, and other applications seem to be accessing
when connecting to the internet. Is there a way that GWatchMan can also
leverage those settings?
Thanks,
Ben

Thanks Ben,
that's a very good idea. I will look into it.
I'm opening a new issue for that (issue 35)
