field_type: "select" returned text #57

if I select an option from dropdown selectbox, not the label(text) is 
returned on the frontend, but the value of the label. 
<option value="VALUE" >TEXT</option>

Could you please give more details?

With "frontend" do you mean the dom or the url/callback you submit to?
