url function not saving the value in IE #75

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.I am using IE  
2.i am using code like url: "../pages/server.php",in demo.js file for saving 
the new value but is not saving.         
3.

The new value should be saved but it is not saving and saving process keep on 
going.

i am using jquery.editinplace which is running on windowsXP.

Please provide any additional information below.

Hey there,

I have the same problem.  It is solved (not really) by commenting out the 
animated stuff in startSavingAnimation.

I have the same problem and it is not solved by commenting out animating stuff.

I also get an alertmessage: "Undefined"
(ie8)
