Old /protocol-params is deprecated in favour of /protocol-parameters. Maestro has already dropped support for deprecated endpoint for Preprod & Preview testnet, following Chang HF.
In particular, when updating to newer protocol parameters endpoint, cost models is given as a list of integers (for specific language) rather than as a map from string to corresponding cost model.
