I too cannot get SoundFlowerBed to start

It flashes temporarily in the menu bar and then closes

Product version: Soundflower-1.6.6b & Soundflower-1.6.5 tested
Mac OS X: 10.8.2

I've attached the crash log which seems to indicate an invalid parameter is at
fault

Just to add, SoundFlower itself appears to be working ok as I can route audio
from say iTunes to Ableton Live without issue

Resolved my issue discussed above by deleting

~/Library/Preferences/com.cycling74.Soundflowerbed.plist
~/Library/Preferences/com.cycling74.Soundflowerbed.plist.lockfile

I am having the same issue - soundflowerbed opens in the menu bar for a second
& then disappears. I am not finding the plist files mentioned in p#5 above.
Soundflower is working correctly though. OSX 10.8.4/soundflower 1.6.6b/13" MBP
mid 2010

Won't open it for me. Tried adding it to the dock and opening from there but
nothing, doesn't open at all. It doesn't even show up on the task bar. Tried
looking for the plist files too but couldn't find them either.

System Version: OS X 10.9.2
MBPr 15' Late 2013 model

Soundflower icon appears, but clicking on it will not open the program. Is
there a solution?

Someone please solve this issue. j.dale38's solution did not work for me. Tried
installing different versions all different ways but the program still will not
launch. Just flashes in the menu bar.

I too am having the same issue, flashes on the menu bar then disappears. I have
the latest version of the software (1.6.6b) but I'm running OSX 10.7.5. As far
as I can tell, soundflower still works routing internally from Youtube to
Ableton for example, but without soundflowerbed I have no way of selecting
routing options etc.
Any more news on a fix? j.dale38's fix doesn't appear to work for me as those
files aren't in my Library /Preferences/ folder

I got it working, but in a retarded way. Go to your Sound Preferences in Your
System Preferences, under 'Output' choose 'Soundflower (2ch). Then use
Quicktime Player's 'New Audio Recording'. Play whatever it is you want to
record from your desktop. You'll see sound levels in the 'New Audio
Recording'window, but you won't hear anything. When you're done recording,
switch the Output back to Headphones or whatever you had it set to
before....and you've got your recorded sound. You'll have a .m4a audio file (an
.aif would be too easy right!) so use your convertor of choice. I have the
best - Wondershare Ultimate. Convert it to aif. Voila!

I hope this helps someone out there who is battling with this retarded,
unreliable, complicated method of doing something that should be so simple.
Fuck you Apple! :)

I found a workaround as well using audacity. Same as Paulcard. Change OUTPUT
and Input in the mac system/sound settings to Soundflower (2ch) and INPUT on
audacity to Soundflower (2ch). Doesn't matter what the output on the audacity
is. Record your youtube or whatever. You will see soundwave patterns on the
audacity window but won't hear anything.

When you're done change the output back to your speakers and you'll hear it.
