Centrelines are now more visually prominent because of style rule changes associated with the new nerve/neuron path control, and these style rules are inherited by the minimap. The main map hides centrelines by setting each line's state to hidden but this feature state is independent of them being part of the minimap.
The solution is to have a separate set of style rules for the minimap:
If the parent map has a raster layer then this is all that needs to be shown on the minimap (this covers all AC maps).
Otherwise the minimap consists of feature and line style layers but no centreline layers (FC maps).
