Hi,
Do you mean these headings? Some translations have them and if they do they should be shown.
I think this request wants to have chapter selector based on headings. This varies from translation to translation and some do not have headings at all.
Some options that come to my mind, if feature is used (enabled by user):
You are right. Using as a selector would be cool.
I would like to make an Explore option with one of the tabs in that a chapter heading list based on the current verse.
@tuomas2, the selector was the second idea there, yes. The first, yes some do not. I only ask when you do this, allow to also see "our own" headings in the text of the other Bibles (to remove that "block of text" look), and I get it, that means you will not want me typing out the NAB ones. Fair enough.
(Did you know the hebrew actually has emphasis used in some places? I heard mt23:3 was said with 2ki17:34 in mind, there i am told "they do not do" was written in hebrew isolated to emphasise (but note in english v34 is usually translated weird, only darby, byington nwt nab gnb and wycliffe seem to be right, I have 14 to read). I wonder why they didn't do it.)
While on the subject of "our own" I would like to propose a new feature that I had begun doing in my paper Bibles, probably deserves a new 'feature' or 'discussion' issue. This was conceived while I was reading Dan11, I ruled a line to segregate the actions of each character. In the rest of the Bible can be done similar, but could replace red lettering (Jesus to always be to right), it is better because every character 's words can be marked not just in the gospels.
I like different views like you have described. Not sure how it could be done though. It is essentially a bookmark that is horizontal not vertical. And yes, another feature request ticket would be a good idea.

The Bible is more inviting to read and its subjects faster to find with titles. You could place them as an alternative to chapter selection or alongside the chapters in the picker..
Appended is the first few from my 1976 © NAB.

I could contribute more. I may miss them since they are within the text (I notice I overlook "The" too). I may want to offer alterations, eg they omitted "slavery" in Lev25:35+ presumably for the sake of political correctness. And some psalms should be ganged (eg 145-150 is one psalm, of David).
