What is your request in this issue? Can you explain more specifically what feature or bug you are requesting/reporting?

tuomas2 commented 1 year ago

From the title I understand so that he does not like that apocrypha is not shown in the same list as bible books.

tuomas2 commented 1 year ago

Technically, this could be an optional feature, but I'm hesitating because I believe there are only 66 books in the bible canon and separation should be made clearly (as it is now).

I am PhD in Religious Studies and I believe that the biblical canon is an open question. To be more equitable when displaying the list of biblical books, displaying the deuterocanonical books on an equal basis with the other books is a matter of respect for the believers of these creeds and not imposing a specific vision. The display, from what I noticed when using the application, is dynamic, so it wouldn't change the experience of Protestants who have a smaller biblical canon.

It is a change in the show mode of list of Bible Books. The change is matter for a equal vision about the cânon: protestants, catholics and orthodoxes.

Ok I understand. I agree with @tuomas2 and think this issue should be closed. I don't think we should want to make extra-Biblical books look like Biblical books especially for those who are ignorant about Bible books.

But it not is extra-bíblical, are bíblical but not like the protestant canon.

Not saying the user interface couldn't be improved. As long as separation remains in some way, IMO
