Windows 8 RTM: can't install #28

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
Launching the Installer.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Windows 8 RTM includes the .NET Runtime 4.5. That reléase isn't recognized by
the installer. The installer, wrongly, asks me to download the .NET runtime
2.0, while .NET 4.5 is already installed.

The expected output is a successful installation, since the .NET runtimes are
already installed.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
The latest, 1.07

Please provide any additional information below.
This happens with the Windows 8 RTM Dev Preview.

Problem still exists with Windows 8 Retail Version. BrazosTweaker does not
recognize the .NET framework

Please, close this issue and document this in your FAQ:

To install BrazosTweaker in Windows 8, you need to enable the .NET Runtime 2.0.
You do that in the "Enable/Disable Windows features" that you'll find in
"Programs and Features"
